I've been needing to rotate the tires and at the same time, I've wanted to get rid of the mud scrapers that always seem to harbor rocks. HAHA! Yeah, it ain't easy. I have to do another oil change before I head down to Hatfield next month... It's a pain to do, but now that I've done it a few times it's not terrible. I'm sure for the 4 seater it's a bit more difficult. You'd think that if they made it SUPER easy to do, that more people would do their own maintenance and get to know their machine a bit more. But you're right, it's a cash grab to get the dealers to do the service, then the problem with that, is, not all dealers have good techs, so who knows if they are going to perform things correctly... I have to say, on my other machine (a KRX) it's actually VERY easy to do an oil change, except for the oil slopping on the skid plate, but that was more of my fault. Thanks again for watching and commenting, I appreciate it.

    Howdy. Appreciate your knowledge.... have a 1991 Suzuki DD51B 4WD. I can not get a definitive answer to the fluid capacities. Trans/Transfer and 2 differentials. As it currently is on jack stands with no wheels I don't want to rely on overflow as a guide as it isn't dead level. Would you know a source? Thanks in advance either way

    • @BarnStangz
      @BarnStangz 29 днів тому

      Thanks for watching, I appreciate it greatly. I don't have any source, but you might want to try some of the Facebook mini truck groups, I'm sure there is someone on there that could give you 100% accurate fluid levels. Having said that, if things are close to being level, just fill it and send it, I'm sure it'll be fine. It would be one thing if you think you were going to overfill it by, say, 30%... OR you could always fill now and then once your back on level ground, crawl under and open up the fill plugs to see how much comes out. Make sure you do that when it's cold of course. Good luck my friend.

      @BarnStangz 2 місяці тому

      Interesting that it keeps tripping... I wired it basically the same way, but not with a GFCI, I wonder if you tried a non-gfci how that would work out, or is it tripping at the breaker?

      @louvang4122 2 місяці тому

      @@BarnStangz I ran an extension to a non-GFCI and it works fine; it doesn't trip at the breaker either. It only trips the GFCI. Funny thing though, other loads on the GFCI (I tried a hair dryer and a drill) don't trip. I'm contemplating whether I should replace that GFCI outlet with a standard? Not sure if that's the root cause.

The KRX is slower and not as nimble, but feels like it would climb anything. The KRX has better suspension, it's more supple and has more travel. The RMAX is quick feeling in the woods, "point and shoot" feeling. And the engine loves to be hammered! They are both really good machines and I'll probably talk more about them in another video. Drinking a beer eating pizza using the pc to look up the how To's in the shed/garage. All men need their man cave. Having an awesome UTV to work on now that's living. Sounds like a fun time to me. There's not that many RMAX owners posting there videos online. There has to be a lot of owners these buggy's look very capable in their stock form. From my research on the different types of sport UTV's the RMAX looks to be the best. There are a lot of reviews after you've seen one talking about all the features you really need a owners review to get a sense what you're spending 20k. My local dealership will let me drive the Buggy around the parking lot and some of the dirt roads nearby. I told them bring a ranger xp 1000, the general xp 1000 and this rmax 2 out to my property you all can ride have a blast. I'll drive each one of them by the end of the day I'll know exactly which machine I want to buy. Guess that is beyond their abilities. I told them I got a go pro and autonomous drones send these units out I'll review them for your dealership with a farmer's perspective. Have your mechanics tell me about the break in period. I can follow the guidelines. It's an untapped market. Every farmer needs an ATV or side by side we just work hard for our money and have learned to make do with what we got. Most of us buy used cheaper models that get the job done. We got phones and internet access, so we've got an eye on the best UTV's/ATVS, but we'd rather spend the money on something farm related. Doesn't mean we are cheap with no money to spend on a new side by side. It just means we don't want some snake oil and fancy words trying to convince us to buy one. Listening to those guys talk makes me want to punch them in the mouth. When I'm ready to buy I don't need convincing. If we got a buddy or neighbor that farms with a new side by side, we'll ask about that get his or her opinion drive it and if we like most of the time we drive to town and buy one. In my opinion dealerships should find a way to work with landowners to showcase the models that are currently in the market. As a farmer I've been raised to treat equipment with respect cause I'm the one fixing it, so we drive ATVs/UTVS at a controlled pace knowing its limits not pushing those. My ATV is 5 years old starts like a new one I've had it in the mud, rain, snow to Colorado 3x. What breaks I fix nothing major great machine. Every friend that I've got that is a farmer who owns a side by side or ATV they don't rip around on it full on every time to see how fast it can go or if it's a good rock climber. What we care about is it reliable, can it mud and get me to my pivots, how's the ride quality, is it simple for maintenance, are the parts expensive? is there aftermarket support to modify to make it better. What is the customer support like at the dealership and company? How's the warranty? I wouldn't dare take my pickup to check a pivot, but I'll take my ATV. We use it as an extension of ourselves to maximize the efficiency of our operation. The only thing else to get you to a pivot is a tractor that's 4wd the ruts left are huge, so we drive our ATV's and Side by sides. Every time I get a smile on my face it's fun to rip it. Worse thing about mudding is the power washing afterwards. Maybe I'll get smart and use my drones to observe the pivots. I got land to be used for UTV/ATV riding because I ride ATVS all over it. Made my own trail system here along the river and all across all pasture property's that is actually a fun ride. They want me to spend 20k+ on one of these machines I'm going to need a push in that direction. I want reviews from owners that drive these buggies.

      Thank you so very much for the comments! I agree with you 1000% on everything, reviews from REAL people are worth more than anything else. I too live in farm country (and thank you by the way for being a farmer) and I make sure to tell all of my farm friends what works and what doesn't. This RMAX has been one hell of a great machine. I don't think I'd want to use it day in and day out on a farm, but it could do it. This machine is VERY capable and has been clawhammer reliable. I haven't had to fix anything on it, just basic maintenance. Most of the Japanese machines are like that. They just keep going, unless your abusing the machine. Even the best more rugged stuff can break with a jackass behind the wheel. Soon, I'll be making a video about the RMAX, long term, since I'v e had it for almost 4 years now compared to a Kawasaki KRX that we acquired about 5 months ago. I'm going to talk about maintenance and other things, so I encourage you to subscribe for that. Again, thank you for watching and commenting!

      No problem 👍 Thank you so much for watching. I replied to your other comment as well. These are great "do-all" machines for sure! The RMAX is more sporty than utility, but you can still do plenty of farm work / chores with it.

    Great video! I agree with your comment regarding the frequency of oil changes - just do it! And certainly, the Blackstone oil analysis will show how well the engine is wearing but like you said, oil is cheap compared to a replacement 6.7 motor!!! The valve cover lock on oil funnel is definitely a pro tip as well!!! Overall, straight forward and easy! Haven't seen too many 6.7 in that color but the way it looks on video - the color really pops! Please do a video on how your Tremor does off road! 👍👍👍

      Thank you so much for commenting and all the kind words! I haven't had this truck off road too much, one when I go riding I'll take it on old logging roads and stuff. It does just fine, but you can feel how heavy it is. Esp, with that giant ass 6.7 under the hood. The color is Velocity Blue and it is bright for sure, I didn't know how much I liked it at first, I mean, I liked it, but didn't know if I would get tired of it and it's honestly grown on me a lot and it seems to turn a lot of heads (not that I care about that) and people always seem to like it. Thanks again for watching, I appreciate it, greatly.

    I'm thinking about doing the same thing to mine but I don't know how to make that wiring longer and also thinking about making mine come on with the low beam instead of hi beam. Maybe you can do a video showing that way.

    • @BarnStangz
      @BarnStangz 6 місяців тому

      Thanks for watching! Making the cable longer wouldn't be too hard, you could source everything off ebay. As far as the light coming on with the low beam, you'd just have to find the low beam wire and plug into that, it should work just find. I've been happy with the light, it makes a pretty big difference actually. Thanks again for watching!

    Just mounted my kemimoto bag just like this one . Get a piece of 1/2" conduit. Measure the width of your bars + allow for 3-4" bow upward. Flatten end with heavy hammer. Allow approx. 1" past center of roll bar on each side. screw down with low profile self tapping screw 9" from the front crossbar. Paint it black and install. It does involve roof removal. But does get the bag tucked up in the roof better out of the way and improves your sight line out the front.
